Soccer Recap: Shafter Takes a Loss

Shafter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chavez Titans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Shafter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-3. As for Chavez, their record now sits at 6-8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shafter has already played their next game (against Kennedy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Chavez will take on Taft at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chavez's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
