Preview: Bad Axe Hatchets vs. Reese Rockets
Bad Axe has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Reese Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Bad Axe is ranked 424th, while Reese is ranked 399th).
Last Friday, Bad Axe came up short against Caro and fell 44-35.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Reese's strategy against Vassar on Wednesday. Reese strolled past Vassar with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Reese.
Bad Axe's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Reese, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Bad Axe didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Reese when the teams last played on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 42-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bad Axe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
