Softball Recap: Palacios Comes Up Short

Palacios lost against Edna back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Palacios Sharks took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edna Cowboys.

Palacios has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-2 record this season. With the victory, Edna broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10-1.

Palacios and Edna could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Palacios (ranked 684th) will meet Tidehaven (ranked 265th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palacios has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Meanwhile, Edna will challenge Industrial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 392 places (760 vs. 368).
