Baseball Recap: Kendrick Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Kendrick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Grangeville Bulldogs with a sharp 12-5 win. Considering the Tigers have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Morgan Boyer, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Anderson, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Kendrick's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Grangeville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kendrick will square off against Lapwai at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Grangeville, they will face off against St. Maries at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lumberjacks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.06 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
