Baseball Recap: Louis E. Dieruff Comes Up Short

Louis E. Dieruff is still winless after their matchup against East Stroudsburg South on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cavaliers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Frawvely Peralta was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Peralta was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Peralta wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryan Dejesus, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Gustavo Cepin also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Louis E. Dieruff's record is now 0-5. As for East Stroudsburg South, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
