Baseball Recap: Red Hill Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

After losing to Odin/Patoka/Sandoval the last time they met, Red Hill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Salukis came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Salukis.

Red Hill got a big performance out of Dylan Casarotto, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Casarotto a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Kiser, who earned one run and three stolen bases.

Red Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Red Hill and Odin/Patoka/Sandoval will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Salukis see the field they'll take on Martinsville at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, their break will end when they face Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th.
