Basketball Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tyler Gee and Timothy Brower

Eastern Randolph was the 92-90 winner over Grace Christian when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eastern Randolph Wildcats took an 88-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Christian Crusaders on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (57), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Timothy Brower and Tyler Gee certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Brower posted 35 points and three steals, while Gee went 5 for 12 en route to 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Brower's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Julian Brooks was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven boards.

Grace Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaedyn Cole, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points gave Cole a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Jones, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 25 points and six boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastern Randolph and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Grace Christian, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Eastern Randolph didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-72 loss against Randleman on the 28th. Grace Christian has also already played their next game, a 73-70 win against GRACE Christian on the 27th.
