Baseball Game Preview: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Northridge Knights

The Bountiful RedHawks will square off against the Northridge Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bountiful will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Bountiful gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Box Elder by a score of 6-2.

Corey Erickson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cash Stump, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Tanner Swanson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northridge suffered their biggest loss since March 17th on Monday. They lost 15-5 to Viewmont.

Jon Olsen was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Parker Jeppson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Bountiful's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Bountiful took their victory against Northridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
