Soccer Game Preview: North Eugene vs. Churchill

North Eugene is 0-9-1 against Churchill since September of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Highlanders will face off against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. North Eugene's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Thursday just wasn't the day for North Eugene's offense. They fell just short of Springfield by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. North Eugene fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Springfield since Thursday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Churchill was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 7-1 to Ashland.

North Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-2. As for Churchill, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

North Eugene came up short against Churchill when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
