Softball Recap: Fargo South Takes a Loss

Fargo South extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They lost 13-0 to the Valley City Hi-Liners. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bruins were not able to get on the board.

As for Valley City, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Fargo South: they've now won eight in a row.

For Valley City's part, Bailey Leroux was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that Leroux has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Hartsell, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Coincidentally, Fargo South and Valley City will both be playing Fargo Davies the next time they take the field. The Bruins will head out to face the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Hi-Liners will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
