Basketball Recap: Coronado's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Coronado came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Caprock Longhorns with a 44-39 victory on Friday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

Coronado's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Caprock, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coronado and El Paso will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Paso will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Coronado surely won't give up without a fight. As for Caprock, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Plainview at 2:00 p.m. on December 31st.
