Softball Recap: Elyria Catholic Panthers vs. Holy Name Green Wave        
        
		
            
 Elyria Catholic came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   5-1  victory over the Holy Name Green Wave. For Elyria Catholic, this counts as revenge for the   12-2 loss Holy Name walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.
  Harper Morgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate,  Jessica Conner was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  stolen bases and four  RBI.  Lillian Ciryak was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Elyria Catholic's win was  their sixth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Holy Name, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 11-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elyria Catholic will take on St. Joseph Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Holy Name, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
