Baseball Game Preview: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Gibsonburg Golden Bears

The Old Fort Stockaders will square off against the Gibsonburg Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Old Fort has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 4th.

Old Fort came up short against Margaretta on Tuesday, falling 8-1.

Cody Adelsperger was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Adelsperger wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Tackett, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Gibsonburg lost 16-4 to Danbury on Tuesday.

Old Fort's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Gibsonburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
