Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Morgan's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Morgan extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Sadie Passante. The Morgan Huskies simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Valley Regional Warriors 60-15 thanks in part to Passante, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 13 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Alana Zirlis, who posted five points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Morgan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for Valley Regional, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan will challenge North Branford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Regional, they will face off against Fitch at 6:30 p.m. on February 5th.
