Softball Recap: Howe Takes a Loss

Howe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-4 to the Pottsboro Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-7 back in March.

Mya Burt made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Howe's record is now 0-23. As for Pottsboro, they moved to 14-12 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Howe will face off against S & S Consolidated at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Pottsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
