Volleyball Recap: Cayla Doescher and Tatum Kurschner Secure Win for Pecatonica

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pecatonica walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Monticello Ponies with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in September.

Leading Pecatonica to victory were Tatum Kurschner and Cayla Doescher. Kurschner had 12 digs, two aces, and one block, while Doescher had 15 digs and two aces. Kurschner is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Pecatonica has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Monticello, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Pecatonica has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Belmont on the 25th. As for Monticello, they will challenge Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
