Football Game Preview: Plainfield East Bengals vs. Plainfield North Tigers + How To Watch

Plainfield East hasn't had much luck against Plainfield North recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bengals will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Plainfield East's defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so Plainfield North's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Plainfield East was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-28 to Plainfield South. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bengals, who until this matchup were averaging 13.8 points allowed.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was David Croom, who rushed for 108 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Markeith Taylor, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Plainfield North was not quite Minooka's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 23-20. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Plainfield North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Plainfield East was dealt a bruising 53-14 loss at the hands of Plainfield North in their previous meeting back in August of 2022. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bengals were down 47-0.
