Football Recap: South Caldwell Comes Up Short

The South Caldwell Spartans took a blow against the T.C. Roberson Rams on Friday, falling 40-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Rams are ranked 111th).

South Caldwell now has a losing record of 2-3. As for T.C. Roberson, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

South Caldwell and T.C. Roberson will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Spartans see the field they'll take on McDowell at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for T.C. Roberson, their break will end when they face Asheville at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
