Football Game Preview: Trumann Wildcats vs. Gosnell Pirates

The Trumann Wildcats will square off against the Gosnell Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trumann has given up an average of 33.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trumann is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Highland on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 60-14 loss at the hands of the Rebels. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-8.

Despite the loss, Trumann got top-tier performance from Arzell Rulford, who rushed for 147 yards and one score on only nine carries. Rulford's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Meanwhile, Gosnell put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Pocahontas as they made off with a 48-28 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' eighth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Gosnell's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Trumann, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
