Volleyball Recap: Dakota Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Evergreen last Thursday, Dakota Ridge came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Denver South Ravens by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Ravens: they've now lost four in a row.

Dakota Ridge actually scored more points across those five sets (109-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Whitney Dewicki paced Dakota Ridge's offense, picking up 27 kills. Dewicki got some help from Adyson Loomis and her 25 assists. Madie LaGrange controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Dakota Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Denver South, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Dakota Ridge and Denver South will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Dakota Ridge is set to face off against their familiar foe Valor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Denver South will take on rival Northfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
