Softball Recap: Ray Bearcats vs. Ganado Hornets        
        
		
            
 Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They fell  15-12 to the Ganado Hornets. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
  Julianna Martinez and  Makayla Barajas did some serious damage despite the final result:  Martinez  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Barajas  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Barajas is trending in the right direction, as she's  improved her point production for three straight games.  Cambria Garcia was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Ray  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 18  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 On Ganado's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Lavina Davis, who  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shelby Lee, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
 Ray's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Ganado,  the  win  got them back to even at 6-6.
 Ray is on the road again  on Friday to play Superior at 2:00  p.m. Ray will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last. As for Ganado, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Monument Valley at 2:00  p.m.  on Monday. One thing working in Monument Valley's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last three games.
