Softball Recap: Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions vs. Shelby County Rockets        
        
		
            Christian Academy-Louisville extended their losing streak  to ten  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against  the Shelby County Rockets, falling  11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Centurions have suffered  against the Rockets since April 23, 2016.
  Taylor Mattingly was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI. That  stolen base was  her first of the season.
As for Shelby County, they pushed their record up to 7-13 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.3 runs over those games.
On Shelby County's side,  Kaylee Cox made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   seven  hits (and only one walk). Cox has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with two  triples, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  two  triples gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Alivia Dejesus was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kendall Carnes, who  went 1-for-5 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Academy-Louisville will host Lexington Christian  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Shelby County, they will take on Model at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
