Football Recap: Manteo Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Perquimans last Friday, Manteo came back down to earth. The Redskins lost to the Gates County Red Barons on the road by a 36-22 margin on Friday. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Red Barons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Although Manteo took the loss, they still got scores from Zay Williams, Jaheem Banks, and Finn Schultz.

Manteo's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Gates County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manteo will head out to square off against Camden County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gates County, they will venture away from home to challenge Bertie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Barons will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
