Softball Game Preview: William Tennent Panthers vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts

The William Tennent Panthers will challenge the Abington Galloping Ghosts at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in William Tennent's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Abington has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

William Tennent is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over Quakertown on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Abington didn't have quite enough to beat Lower Moreland on Thursday and fell 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Galloping Ghosts have lost by exactly two runs.

Mallory Beal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Sammi Clewell, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Abington's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for William Tennent, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

William Tennent beat Abington 6-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Galloping Ghosts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
