The Northridge Grizzlies will challenge the Severance Silver Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Northridge: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Severance has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
Northridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Hinkley 15-2 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their two-run performance the game before.

Ruger Lancaster made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Northridge let Beau Rupp and Jaycob Lermon run wild. Rupp went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Lermon went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Rupp a new career-high. Wyatt Hill was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Severance got the win against Greeley Central on Monday by a conclusive 15-1. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Silver Knights this season.
Brady Iversen was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Auggie Dominguez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Severance kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.
Severance is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. Northridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14.
Northridge might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Severance in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Grizzlies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
