Baseball Recap: St. Ansgar Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

St. Ansgar waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Central Springs Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Saints' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

St. Ansgar's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Central Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
