Salpointe Catholic is a perfect 4-0 against Saguaro since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Salpointe Catholic Lancers will square off against the Saguaro Sabercats at 1:00 p.m. Salpointe Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 22 goals over their last three games.

Salpointe Catholic is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Walden Grove as Salpointe Catholic made off with a 6-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won 19 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Walden Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emiliano Castro (3), Leo Gutierrez (2), and Santiago Perez.

Meanwhile, Saguaro faced Mica Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Saguaro won by a goal and slipped past Mica Mountain 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Sabercats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Saguaro pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Salpointe Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season.

Salpointe Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Saguaro when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Salpointe Catholic since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
