Baseball Game Preview: South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies vs. Elkhart Lions

For the second straight game, South Bend Saint Joseph will face off against Elkhart. The Huskies will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Bend Saint Joseph is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

South Bend Saint Joseph is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Elkhart on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-3 victory. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Jacob Snyder tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Joe Washburn was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Franco Biffle, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
