Basketball Recap: Burleson Takes a Loss

Burleson lost against Mansfield Timberview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Burleson Elks lost to the Mansfield Timberview Wolves at home by a 60-46 margin. While losing is never fun, the Elks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Wolves are ranked 53rd).

Burleson's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Mansfield Timberview, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-6.

The future could be bright for both Burleson and Mansfield Timberview: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Burleson will try to hand Cleburne their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mansfield Timberview will look to extend Everman's four-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
