Preview: Tiverton Tigers vs. Cranston East Thunderbolts

The Tiverton Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cranston East Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tiverton will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.

On Thursday, Tiverton had to suffer through a rough 59-25 loss at the hands of Moses Brown. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tiverton has scored all season.

Cranston East aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Thursday extended their overall winning streak to three. They came out on top against Mt. Hope by a score of 61-49. Cranston East pushed the score to 51-30 by the end of the third, a deficit Mt. Hope cut but never quite recovered from.

Cranston East's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mya Jiminez led the charge by scoring 22 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Jiminez has scored at least a third of Cranston East's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayna Gunderway, who scored 13 points.

Tiverton's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Cranston East, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.

Tiverton didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Cranston East in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. Will Tiverton repeat their success, or does Cranston East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
