Belmont entered their tilt with Stivers School for the Arts on Monday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers  a   27-0 shutout. Considering the Bison have won five contests by more than 14  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Gavin Bradley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with ten  stolen bases, five  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Josh Lucas was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  stolen bases, four  runs,  and one  RBI. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Carter Blankenship, who  went 1-for-3 with four  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double.
 Belmont  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .684. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  games.
Belmont pushed their record up to 8-1 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Stivers School for the Arts,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Coincidentally, Belmont and Stivers School for the Arts will both be playing Thurgood Marshall the next time they take the field. The Bison will head out to face the Cougars at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday, while the Tigers will  host them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
