Soccer Game Preview: Adams vs. North Mesquite

The Adams Cougars will head out on the road to take on the North Mesquite Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Adams is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

North Mesquite will be up against a hot Adams team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Adams walked away with a 4-2 victory over Seagoville on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly two goals.

They hit Seagoville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Diego Santana, Michael Moya, Angel Frias, and Chris Esparza.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, North Mesquite's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Poteet by a score of 4-3.

North Mesquite's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 12-4. As for Adams, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Adams came up short against North Mesquite in their previous matchup on February 4th, falling 2-0. Can Adams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
