Basketball Recap: Macey Seebohm and Addison Weber Secure Win for Alliance

Alliance hadn't done well against Chadron recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Alliance Bulldogs walked away with a 42-29 win over the Chadron Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Cardinals two weeks ago, they had to take a 53-36 defeat.

Alliance was led to victory by Addison Weber and Macey Seebohm. Weber went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Seebohm posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most points Weber has posted since back in February of 2024.

Chadron's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jezy Alcorn, who scored six points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Watson, who earned five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

With the victory, Alliance broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-16. As for Chadron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Alliance wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 32-25 win against Mitchell on the 1st. As for Chadron, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-14 victory against Liberty Tree Academy on the 1st.
