Superior is 1-9 against Sutton since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Meanwhile, Sutton can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Fillmore Central with a 52-48 victory.
Sutton's win came from a few key players that Superior will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Payton Reed, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 18 points and six boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Smith, who had 14 points and five rebounds.
Sutton's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Superior, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Superior has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Sutton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
