Volleyball Recap: Duluth East Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Duluth East unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Princeton Tigers by a score of 2-1. If the Greyhounds were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Duluth East's offense was headlined by Ella Tormondsen and Piper Witzman, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Chelsea Zentz and her 25 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Duluth East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Princeton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duluth East will face off against Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Princeton, they will square off against Chisago Lakes Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
