Basketball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Comes Up Short

Jordan-Matthews saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 71-52 bruising from the North Davidson Black Knights. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading North Davidson to victory were Coen Miller and Drew Hege. Miller went 7 for 10 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks, while Hege went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Hege a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amir Dalton, who posted 13 points.

Jordan-Matthews' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for North Davidson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Jordan-Matthews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-52 loss against Ashe County on the 27th. As for North Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-37 defeat against Watauga on the 27th.
