Basketball Recap: Jacob Mahavong-Garcia Key Part of Team Effort in Highlanders Win + How To Watch

There's no place like home for McLane, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over the Sanger Apaches on Wednesday. This was payback for the Highlanders, who suffered a 75-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

McLane's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Mahavong-Garcia, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Mahavong-Garcia a new career-high in boards (four). Keyvon Burcher was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 13 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

The win got McLane back to even at 1-1.

McLane will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Madera at 6:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Sanger, they will head out on the road to challenge Kingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
