Soccer Recap: Christian Community Takes a Loss

Christian Community lost against Grand River Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors lost 7-2 to Grand River Academy. Christian Community were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Luke Chung and Toby Beller scored both of Christian Community's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Christian Community and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Grand River Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Christian Community will challenge Keystone at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Community will be up against Keystone's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.27 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Grand River Academy, they will be playing at home against First Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Grand River Academy their first taste of in-conference action this season.
