The Fort LeBoeuf Bison will take on the Harbor Creek Huskies at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Fort LeBoeuf 2.6, Harbor Creek 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Fort LeBoeuf's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Cambridge Springs by a score of 5-0.

Kiernan Skelton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gemma Malinowski and Mya Stolz did most of the damage at the plate: Malinowski went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Stolz went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was Stolz's first of the season.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Harbor Creek had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Meadville with a sharp 17-3 victory on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Like Fort LeBoeuf, Harbor Creek also got a great game from a two-way player: Addison Lucas. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Lucas was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Harbor Creek let Brooklynn Cipalla and Arianna Denning run wild. Cipalla got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Denning went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits Denning has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lacie Fortin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Harbor Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 14-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Fort LeBoeuf pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Harbor Creek, their record now sits at 16-4.
Both Fort LeBoeuf and Harbor Creek just can't seem to miss. The Bison have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Harbor Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fort LeBoeuf suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Harbor Creek in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
