Football Recap: Sterlington Skates Past Richwood with Ease

While Sterlington put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Richwood. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rams 40-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 34 points or more this season.

Tj Burch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 110 yards and three scores, while also picking up 44 receiving yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sterlington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 187 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Sterlington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tomarion Burch and Kade Hollingsworth. Burch got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Sterlington's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Richwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Sterlington will challenge North Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richwood, they will host Lake Arthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 9.2 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
