Softball Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

Channelview is 0-8 against Summer Creek since March of 2017 but things could change on Friday. Channelview will head out to challenge Summer Creek at 6:30 p.m.

Channelview fell victim to King and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Summer Creek posted their closest win since March 1st on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past North Shore 3-2. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Torie Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double.

In other batting news, Cali Chapman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two triples, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Alyson Johnson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Channelview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Summer Creek, their record now sits at 16-3.

Channelview might still be hurting after the 17-1 loss they got from Summer Creek when the teams last played on March 3rd. Can Channelview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
