Baseball Recap: Cypress Creek Finds Home Field Redemption Against Weeki Wachee

There's no place like home for Cypress Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Weeki Wachee Hornets 11-2 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their two-run performance the game before.

Colin McGee looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Everett Burgess was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kai Lachance, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Cypress Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weeki Wachee only posted a batting average of .267.
