Soccer Recap: Currituck County Comes Up Short

If Currituck County was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Perquimans on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights came up short against the Manteo Redskins on Wednesday, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Manteo this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Currituck County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. As for Manteo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Currituck County will take on Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manteo, they will face off against First Flight at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
