Baseball Game Preview: Rockdale Tigers vs. Rogers Eagles

Rockdale hasn't had much luck against Rogers recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Rockdale is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to Thrall, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Rogers' found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Lexington on Thursday. Rogers never let Lexington get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Rogers considering their one-run performance the game before.

Rogers pushed their record up to 14-9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rockdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-20.

Rockdale couldn't quite finish off Rogers in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
