Basketball Recap: Boise City Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Boise City challenged Turpin on Monday. The Boise City Wildcats fell 60-51 to the Turpin Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Cardinals are ranked 83rd).

Boise City's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Turpin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Boise City and Turpin: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Boise City will look to extend Walsh's three-game losing streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on February 11th. Similarly, Turpin will try to hand Goodwell their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
