Football Game Preview: Jackson Aggies vs. Orange Beach Makos

Two dominant backs in Ezavier Crowell and Aiden Kee are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jackson Aggies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orange Beach Makos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Jackson's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.

Jackson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Michael Catholic just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Aggies, who until this matchup were averaging 13.43 points allowed.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Crowell and Noah Moss. Moss had a great game and rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Meanwhile, Crowell was balling out in the loss, rushing for 336 yards and two TDs while picking up 16.8 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Orange Beach beat Escambia County 29-22 on Friday.

Orange Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Reed and Lee Steele.

Orange Beach now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jackson, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Jackson against Orange Beach in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 40-13 victory. Do the Aggies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Makos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
