Volleyball Recap: Tinley Park Takes a Loss

Tinley Park lost against Oak Lawn back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Tinley Park sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Tinley Park still got an impressive performance from Aaron Benitez, who had 16 digs. With that strong performance, Benitez is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. Ethan Ledsema was another key player, getting seven assists and four digs.

Oak Lawn found their leader in freshman Danny Casey, who had nine digs and four aces.

Tinley Park's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Oak Lawn, their win bumped their record up to 23-10.

Tinley Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, Oak Lawn and Fenwick will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
