They put the hurt on the Laverne Tigers with a sharp 16-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hammon pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Laverne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Hammon has already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Fairview on the 28th. As for Laverne, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 victory against Apache on the 27th.
