Football Recap: Las Plumas Thunderbirds vs. Live Oak Lions
There's no place like home for Las Plumas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 42-29 victory over the Live Oak Lions on Friday. The Thunderbirds pushed the score to 42-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.
Las Plumas found their leader in sophomore Branden Robinson, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 166 yards and one touchdown on only 12 passes.
Despite the loss, Live Oak still got an impressive performance from Ian Miranda, who rushed for 197 yards and one score while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Miranda's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 150 rushing yards.
