Jackson Morrice Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Cedar Grove got the W thanks in part to Jackson Morrice playing the best football he has all season. Morrice picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (111.5) per game. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.

The victory for Cedar Grove keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Morrice and Cedar Grove will take on Glen Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Stephen Paradiso Turns in Season-Best Effort

Stephen Paradiso produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Cedar Grove to the win on Friday. Paradiso wasn't messing around, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The contest was his fourth straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

If history really does repeat itself, Paradiso might just drop another big game when he faces off against Glen Ridge on Friday. Paradiso threw for 222 yards and six touchdowns the last time he and the Ridgers duked it out back in September of 2023.

Verona Gets a Boost from Nigro in 26-19 Win

Verona picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jayden Nigro. Nigro turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 38 yards.

This season, Nigro has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 25.5 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one receiving touchdown.
